WE HOSTED THE MEDEK EVALUATION TEAM AT OUR INSTITUTION

Within the scope of the program carried out by the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), the team field visits conducted at our institution between November 17-19, 2025, have been completed.

The field evaluation process started on Monday, November 17, 2025, and ended with the presentation of the exit notification on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Within the scope of the Field Evaluation, the evaluation team members held a series of meetings with the Vocational School management, academic staff, students, relevant department heads of our University, our University's top management, and external stakeholders of the Altınova Vocational School Machine and Metal Technologies Department Welding Technology Program. They also conducted examinations and observations of the physical infrastructure and spaces related to the education-training, social, cultural, and sports areas of our vocational school. The meetings, unit presentations, field observations, and stakeholder meetings held throughout the visits made significant contributions to our institution's quality assurance efforts.

The program accreditation process for the Welding Technology Program will continue until the Vocational Education Accreditation Board (MEK) makes its final accreditation decision about our program, based on the draft reports prepared by the evaluation team, according to its own calendar, and the final accreditation decision will be publicly announced.

We would like to thank our Rector, our Vice Rectors, our Quality Coordination, our Administrative and Support staff, and especially from the Altınova Vocational School Machine and Metal Technologies Department Welding Technologies Teaching Staff, the Director of the Vocational School Dr. Lecturer Gökhan TIMAÇ, Vice Director of the Vocational School Lecturer Murat ŞAHİN, Vice Director of the Vocational School Lecturer Ezgi AKSU KILIÇGEDİK, Lecturer Dr. Özgür DEMİR, for their unwavering support from the beginning to the end of these processes, which lasted approximately one year.
