Altınova Vocational School, established by the decision of the Vocational School Board dated November 17, 2022, “Yalova University Altınova Vocational Training Academy” with the short name “Y.A.M.A.” A technical trip to RM Istanbul Company was organized under the leadership of our lecturer Özkan MÜNÜKLÜ, one of the faculty members of the Machinery and Metal Technologies Department / Welding Technology Program, within the scope of the ‘’Electric Arc Welding Technique’’ course, as part of the Technical Trip event.
International Welding Engineer Mr. Ömer Demir, who is working at RM Istanbul Company, first gave a short presentation to our students about the company's field of activity and then gave general information about steel and aluminum welding, assembly, and painting to our students during a field trip. Later, the event program was concluded by giving a short presentation to our students about welding defects and WPS.
We extend our thanks to Mr. Yavuz İpek, the director of RM Istanbul, for opening the doors to our students, and to Mr. Ömer Demir, Ms. Neşe Birdal, and the employees of the RM Istanbul family for providing the necessary information, interest, and support, and also to Altınova Municipality for providing the necessary support for transportation.’’
